Thanks to all for Supporting Carolina Yakfish and Heroes on the Water. You have two great Chapters in NC at Ft Bragg and Camp Lejeune helping the wounded vets. Your donations will push those chapters forward allowing them to support more vets.

Recent story from Ft Bragg - On Wednesday, 26 October 2011, " Matt (Chief) took SSG Sharon and three of her children Kenneth-8 years old, Alexas-9 years old, and Matthew-10 years old, Kayak Fishing at Smith Lake, Fort Bragg, NC. Sharon contacted Matt after seeing the poster he put up for the HOW program a few weeks ago, and they set up the outing. Not only is Sharon a Wounded Warrior, but she and her children are also a Gold Star family. ..........................
Matt went to help Alexas who had hooked a smaller Bass that went under some rocks and got stuck. Chief tried to get it out, but the line broke. Surprisingly, the fish came up with the bobber and then swam off. As Matt and Sharon were talking about leaving soon, she told him Matthew loved fishing and would do it all night. Then they heard Matthew holler in excitement, "I've got one!" Matt raced over to help and found a nice sized Bass flopping around between Matthew legs. Chief said with a grin, "This was Matthew's first bass. He was very proud and talked about the fight and how he got it in."

Lighting folks up with fishing is what we are all about!!

Thanks for all y'all do,
